There are many ways to get involved, both for advocating for the Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park, as well as just becoming more involved as a community member.  Below are some suggestions, ranging from signing our Letter of Support, volunteering with us or other organizations, or joining local Park Advisory Councils.

Sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page or

Volunteer with us!

Sign Our Letter of Support!  Join hundreds of South Siders in voicing your support for the OPC in Jackson Park.

Write Letters to the Editor (LTE) to local or national newspapers voicing your support for the OPC in Jackson Park and how you feel this will contribute to our communities.  Some local news outlet suggestions are the Hyde Park Herald, Crain's Chicago, Chicago Sun Times, and Chicago Tribune.  Keep in mind that local papers are more likely to publish LTE's addressing local issues.

Download and post our SSN4H posters featuring Mr. Timuel Black and our 5 Things to Know about the OPC.  Post in your windows, on your buildings community board or at your local hangout, coffee shop or pub.

Join your local Park Advisory Council to help shape programming and the future of our Parks.  Suggestions (with links) are the Jackson Park Advisory Council and Midway Plaisance Advisory Council.  Most Chicago parks have Advisory Councils, so ask to see whether your local park has one and join!

Get involved with the Obama Foundation to see how you can participate in Foundation programming for our communities.
